Unless otherwise stated, the Kalora warranty period is 15-years for the firebox; 1-year for parts & accessories.

How close can you install a Kalora heater to combustible materials?

What is the easiest way to maintain a clean flue?

First, burn only well-cured firewood. Wet firewood creates creosote that coats your fireplace’s flue and glass. Second, give your flue a good cleaning during off-season with one of our Flue Brush Kits. And third, to cut down on creosote build-up during fire season, use a packet of Forge Easy Soot Flue Cleaner from time-to-time.

How can I check the moisture of my firewood?

Using a Forge Moisture Meter is an easy way to see how well cured your firewood is. Calibrated to popular Australian wood species, it will assure you of your firewood’s readiness, meaning a happier, healthier fireplace & flue.

How can I get more heat from my radiant fireplace?

Well you can’t really get more heat, but with a Forge Exo Fan you can make it more efficient. Suitable for use on any radiant wood-burning fireplace or stove, the thermally powered fan sits on top of your appliance and gently circulates warm air around the room.

Is there an easy way to clean the glass on my wood heater?

There is! Forge Dry Glass Cleaner easily removes soot and creosote from the glass surface. Suitable for fireplace/stove glass and ceramic cooktops, in most cases, no additional liquid or cleaning agent is required.

I’ve scratched the exterior of my fireplace, is this repairable?

If it’s just a surface scratch in the finish of your appliance, use our Forge Stenotherm High Temp Paint. It’s the same paint Kalora uses at the factory and is suitable for most wood heaters or stoves, exposed flues and BBQ surrounds and is designed for surfaces exposed to extreme heat.

How often do I need to replace the firebricks in my Kalora?

Depending on how often you use your fireplace, it’s good to check the health of your firebricks from time-to-time. And if you sense they need replacing, firebrick replacement sets are available from your Kalora Dealer along with easy-to-assemble instructions.

Can I replace the seals on my Kalora?

Yes. Forge Rope Seal Kits and associated adhesives are available from your Kalora Dealer. Sold in packs of 2m lengths, they’re suitable for all solid fuel stoves and heaters with comparable rope seal diameter. Be sure to check your Kalora User Manual for the correct size requirements.
